Brain Injury Waikato empowers people and families affected by brain injury through advice, support, and education. Founded in 1987 by Earl Hopkins, who experienced his own brain injury, the organisation has been dedicated to helping others navigate the challenges of brain injury recovery and rehabilitation.
The organisation's mission is to raise awareness and promote the prevention of brain injuries whilst providing comprehensive support to those affected. As a member of Brain Injury New Zealand, Brain Injury Waikato is part of a nationwide network of regional brain injury associations.
