Damai Disabled Person Association Malaysia is a non-profit organisation established in 1998 with the primary mission of helping persons with disabilities live independently and integrate fully into society. Based in Petaling Jaya, Damai serves individuals with disabilities across urban and rural areas throughout Malaysia.
Beyond direct services, Damai actively advocates for disability rights at the national level, collaborating with other NGOs to improve accessibility and inclusion. The organisation has successfully influenced policy changes, including pressuring RapidKL to purchase accessible buses, AirAsia to acquire ambulifts, and highlighting building accessibility requirements to relevant ministries.
