Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)
The ABA Project is a neuro-affirming centre-based Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) service provider located in Medan Damansara, conveniently accessible from Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur. Founded in 2019 as a home-based service, the centre transitioned to its current location in 2022 to serve a larger neurodivergent community.
The centre provides high-quality, evidence-based ABA programmes formulated by Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs) following extensive research and assessments. All programmes are individualised to help neurodivergent learners achieve their fullest potential while maintaining their unique neurodivergent identity. The ABA Project also offers intensive parent training to equip families with the necessary skill sets to support their children at home, promoting generalisation and maintenance of acquired skills.
The ABA Project serves neurodivergent learners including individuals with Autism, ADHD, ADD, learning deficits, and other social-developmental deficits. Their core values centre on respect, acceptance, and celebration of neurodiversity, creating an inclusive environment where the neurodivergent community is understood and respected.
Recent research challenges long-held assumptions about ADHD, revealing that the disorder may be more about reward processing than attention deficit. These findings offer important insights for supporting students with ADHD in Australian classrooms.
Recent research suggests autism and ADHD may share common brain connectivity patterns and genetic markers, challenging traditional diagnostic boundaries and pointing towards more personalised support approaches.
